New functionality in the e-NOTUM service: technical cancellation of notifications

If a notification is found to have been filed incorrectly or inappropriately, there is the possibility of technically canceling it. The cancellation implies that the notification will continue to be visible on the public worker's part of e-NOTUM, but it will no longer be accessible by its addressee and therefore, it will not be visible from the citizenship portal.

From the e-NOTUM service, the possibility has been enabled for entities using the service to cancel notifications directly, from the screens. EACAT, quickly, easily and quickly without having to manage it through our User Service Center as before. You just need to find the notification to cancel, press the cancellation button, motivate it and confirm the action, as explained in the post Change in the notification cancellation procedure.

In relation to service user entities that use the integration mode, during the first quarter of 2023 we offer the new messaging version eNOTUM 4.0 which will incorporate, among others, this new functionality.

In this regard, right now, in order to cancel a notification, we offer you two options:

  • Do it via screens EACAT: the user must have the employee role in the department where the notification to cancel was created.
  • Carry it out (temporarily) via CAU: indicating the notification number to be canceled and the reason for cancellation.

Keep in mind, however, that the cancellation of notifications is provided for those cases where, for example, material or arithmetical errors are seen in the administrative act subject to notification, errors in the recipient persons themselves or the concurrence of causes of full legal nullity, circumstances linked to the administrative procedure, which each of us can decide to apply according to internal protocols.

In other words, the technical annulment of the notification is a functional issue that does not exempt the body that practices the notification from justifying the decision to annul it as appropriate (for example, in an act or resolution administrative).
