Interoperability, understood as the electronic exchange of data and documents between government information systems, has been central to the debureaucratization of government.
This exchange makes it possible, on the one hand, to respond to the right of citizens not to provide documents that are already in the possession of their own administrations and, on the other hand, to speed up administrative procedures so that they do not have to submit so much documentation. it translates into savings in time, money and travel for people.
The Administration also gains in efficiency and effectiveness, in addition to the economic savings and environmental benefits of not having to issue "paper" certificates.
The Catalan interoperability model, based on a “neutral point” or driving force for electronic exchanges, developed and managed by the AOC, makes it possible for administrations to exchange 85 million data and documents every year with full guarantees of technical and legal security; a piece of paper that the public no longer has to provide to carry out their formalities. Every citizen saves from presenting 11 documents a year to the administration and in general terms this means a saving of 390 million euros per year for society as a whole.
For Nile, asking for social assistance is not a bad thing
Guifré and the Nile want to apply for dining grants. At VilAOC de Baix, Guifré has to go to the town hall in person and hand in a lot of paperwork. On the other hand, at VilAOC de Dalt, the Nile carries out the procedure online and saves itself from presenting a lot of papers.
