Asset management and contact details in the event of an incident, new developments in the Security Portal for Local Administrations
The Cybersecurity Agency of Catalonia (ACC), through the Safe Internet program of the Cybersecurity Innovation and Competence Center (CIC4Cyber) and with the collaboration of several councils, launches the campaign Digital Fengshui to disseminate the necessary knowledge to enrich the digital security culture of Catalan society.
The summer is presented as a good time to tidy up our data and the information we have been accumulating, as well as find ways to protect it; from this idea the Fengshui Digital campaign was born. A transformative proposal for part of the day-to-day through order and useful methods that will facilitate the management of information, passwords and common technological incidents, as can the migration of information between devices.
So, through Fengshui Digital, a series of informative materials such as articles, podcasts, a kit for creating robust credentials and a methodology for tidying up and protecting data is made available to everyone, and all of this is collected in a Web page of the campaign to facilitate access to all available resources for good storage and maintenance of personal data. The materials will be disseminated periodically on the Internet Segura networks and the Cybersecurity Agency of Catalonia, through the labels: #FengshuiDigital and #SafeData.
The town councils, active promoters of the campaign
But not only awareness is important, how we build it among all the actors in society is also a fundamental pillar in the country's cyber security strategy. For this reason, the campaign has the collaboration of the administrations local, active and essential agents to bring cyber security to citizens; in particular, the town councils of Amposta, Manlleu, Molins de Rei, Mollerussa, Sant Feliu de Guíxols, Sant Sadurní, la Seu d'Urgell and Valls are promoters, taking into account the representativeness of each of the vegueries, and are points of reference in the area of digitization of local administration.
Participation in the Fengshui Digital is open to the rest of the councils, although the towns and cities that start the campaign now will follow up on the actions for the continuous improvement of the integration of the cyber security culture in the society.
