Request a vote by mail with the IDCAT Certificate
When we try to identify ourselves with a T-CAT certificate and an error appears, there are a number of questions we can ask ourselves to find out what the problem is and how to fix it:
If this is the first time that the T-CAT has been used on a computer, follow the installation steps in the faq. Installation of the T-CAT on card, ia Delivery, download and installation of the T-CAT P in the case of the T-CAT in software.
If the T-CAT only gives an error on a specific website, you will need to consult with the support of the website where the error is obtained, because if the T-CAT allows you to authenticate on other pages, we can say that it is good installed and read correctly. You can also check the status of the T-CAT by taking the test at How can I check a certificate? If the certificate cannot be validated according to the steps of the faq, it will be necessary to check if it is being read.
To check if the T-CAT we have in the reader is being read, you need to open the Safesign program (it appears by putting a "token" in the Windows search engine) and in the "digital id" menu click on the option "show registered digital id" :
The T-CAT being read is shown with the green icon shown in the following image:
If it is not being read, we recommend checking the faq Safesign: manual and possible errors.
If a T-CAT is not read on one computer, it can be tested if it is read on another: if a T-CAT does not work on other computers where other T-CATs are read, the one that is not read must have some specific problem for example of PIN / PUK lock.
If you have a T-CAT that does not work and, despite having checked the indicated points, you cannot solve it, you have at your disposal the T-CAT support portal, from where you can also contact us if you do not find the solution to the problem.
