The Digicanvis Observatory: share and inspire other councils
On June 17, the 1st “SeTDIBA Conference: the challenges of digital management in smaller municipalities” was held electronically and addressed not only to the 91 municipalities that have joined the SeTDIBA project but also to all those local governments interested in this corporation bet. During the day, the imminent challenges faced by small municipalities as well as the necessary self-protection measures in the field of cybersecurity were analyzed. Improvements in SeTDIBA services were also presented.
The Diputació de Barcelona has promoted, since 2018, the set of digital transformation services SeTDIBA, which has been extended to 91 local bodies in the territory. 63,44% of the municipalities of up to 1.000 inhabitants.
Much of this deployment has taken place in times of pandemic, highlighting that the digital transformation of organizations is possible in collaborative work environments at a distance and posing new challenges such as the application of self-protection measures and cybersecurity or the consolidation of the use of the digital channel with the citizens.
The day was attended by Joseph Arimany, deputy of the Area of Innovation, Local Governments and Territorial Cohesion, Francis Xavier Forcadell, coordinator of the Area of Innovation, Local Governments and Territorial Cohesion, Joan A. Olivares, head of the Digital Innovation Cabinet, Xavier Marcet, consultant and president of “Lead to Change” i Thomas Roy, director of security strategy at the Cybersecurity Agency of Catalonia.
