The deadline to apply for grants from the Next Generation EU fund on digital transformation of municipalities with more than 50.000 inhabitants has been extended until December 29, 2021. This is a call for grants aimed at municipalities with more than 50.000 inhabitants, or with a lower population if they are provincial capital, to help improve and modernize their organization with the incorporation of information technology, digitization of procedures administrative and adaptation of its management to digital media.
These grants are in order TER / 1204/2021 of 3 November of the Ministry of Territorial Policy which sets out a set of objectives, strategic lines and eligible actions in the field of digital transformation which are directly related to some of the AOC services we are promoting in Catalonia.
The general objectives of the eligible actions will be:
- Improving the accessibility of citizens and companies to digital public services.
- Bridging the digital divide.
- Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of public employees.
- Reuse built digital services and solutions.
- Actively use emerging technologies in the deployment of new digital services (chatbots, automation and robotization, platforms, etc.).
With the aim of guaranteeing the maximum efficiency in the application of the funds and achieving with the actions the greatest impact for the citizens as a whole, the local entities will prioritize the following projects:
- Priority 1. Start-up of a cybersecurity operations center, which will be mandatory.
- Priority 2. A citizen-oriented Administration, developing the three most used services in mobile App mode or through an adaptive interface (“responsive”) integrated in the My Citizen Folder of the AGE.
- Priority 3. Intelligent operations. Launch of a project to automate the process of providing services to the citizen.
- Priority 4. Development or adaptation of cross-border barrier-free services for European citizens and businesses.
Convening body: Ministry of Territorial Policy in collaboration with the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation, through the General Secretariat for Digital Administration.
Deadline for submission of applications: from 9:00 a.m. on November 8, 2021, until 15:00 pm on December 29, 2021 through the electronic headquarters of the Ministry of Territorial Policy (procedures-subsidies).
Beneficiaries: municipalities with more than 50.000 inhabitants, as well as those with a lower population that are considered provincial capitals.
