The Open Administration Consortium of Catalonia (AOC) annually awards the Open Administration Awards to leading Catalan local administrations.eres in the digital transformation of its relationship with citizens and in its internal management.
This year, the V edition of the Open Administration Awardshas recognized the councils of Girona and Roses as leaders in digital transformation for the second consecutive year, along with Calafell and Palafrugell.
The aim of the awards is to value and recognize the implementation and use of electronic administration services and their consequent digital transformation in their relationship with citizens and in their internal management.
These recognitions, which distinguish seven categories according to the number of inhabitants of the entities and their nature, are granted on the basis of a own methodology which rigorously analyzes more than 30 objective indicators of 947 town halls and 41 county councils.
This year, 75 local Catalan entities have been awarded, divided into 7 categories, of which we detail the besteres positions.

Our methodology allows us measure the degree of maturity of local administrations and makes rigorous information available to organizations to know their situation, their strengths and areas for improvement. It allows comparisons to be made with other similar administrations or with those leading the digital transformation.
The evaluation of the degree of maturity of digital transformation of the local bodies of a territory is a unique and innovative initiative, both at state and international level.
