Catalonia becomes a member of the OGP, the international open government network

The Open Government Partnership (OGP) has made public the integration of Catalonia into its international network, after positively resolving the candidacy presented by the Department of Foreign Action, Institutional Relations and Transparència last July.

In this way, Catalonia is already a member of the OGP, a group of 146 members that brings together governments, states and civil society worldwide. 

The Catalan candidacy has had broad support from the territory and citizens. Specifically, the Transparent Governments Network, which includes the four councils and municipal entities, the AOC Consortium, Localret, the AMB and CSITAL - as well as a significant majority of the country's councils - have shown their support. The candidacy has been jointly promoted with the Barcelona Open Data Initiative, endorsed by the Observatori Ciutadà Contra la Corruption and fifteen other organizations specializing in open government.
