AOC certificates are adapted to eIDAS

The Ministry of Energy, Tourism and the Digital Agenda has given the authorization to make the Digital Certificates in accordance with the European Regulation on Electronic Identification and Services of Trust (EIDAS).

The next 9 May 2018 The intervention will be carried out, which will affect both T-CAT users and T-CAT Registration Entities. idCAT since the Service will be stopped throughout the day.

The authorization of the MINETAD for the realization of the new certificates implies:

Changes in certificate profiles

New profiles (only performed by the AOC Consortium's T-CAT Registration Entity)

    • Pseudonym T-CAT Certificate: Certificate of signature of a public worker with a high level pseudonym. The issuance of these certificates will be carried out under the previous assessment of the legal accreditation of the pseudonym that must accompany the application. They will be accepted very specifically for justified uses where the data of the holder cannot be displayed and for people who, within his organization, already have a regulated pseudonym.
    • T-CAT certificate representant: Electronic certificate of representant before high-level Public Administrations, which is incorporated into the Catalogue of certificates issued by the AOC Consortium with the adaptation to the EIDAS regulations. This certificate must always be accompanied by an accreditation of the appointment as representant. The document must be a publication in the newspaper or official bulletin, registration in a public register, a notarial document, etc. within the framework of Law 59/2003, of December 19, on electronic signatures, which stipulates throughout its articles that the accreditation of the representaThis must be done by means of a public document.

Domain registration for secure server certificates (CDS, CDSQ and Electronic Office)

  • The domain must be registered by the entity before making the broadcast request and be public.
  • The domain registrar's email will be verified by the provider before the certificate is issued.

We remind you that you have at your disposal the new one test certificate package to use it to perform the tests necessary to adapt your software.

The service outage required to implement the changes described above will result in the loss of all information relating to certificate requests that have not been generated at that time. For this reason, we recommend that you do not leave requests on EACAT pending to be sent or signed, nor certificates pending to be delivered or downloaded within the subscriber's folder, nor pending to be approved or generated from the Registration Entity the day before the cut-off.
