Moving towards a European digital identity
The seconds Participatory Budgets of Lleida City Council they have received 50% more voters than last year, according to the Deputy Mayor and Councilor for Citizen Participation, Joan Gómez, at the end of the scrutiny of this electoral process.
In total, 3.023 people from Lleida have chosen from the 128 proposals (43 city projects, with a budget of between 50.000 and 200.000 euros, and 83 neighborhood projects, with less than 50.000 euros). This figure represents 2,65% of the census, which included all those over 16 years of age.
Deputy Mayor Joan Gómez congratulated this increase in participation of almost 50%, which was recorded mostly in the electronic vote, which has doubled compared to last year, although 'have increased the number of tables to cast the ballot in presence.
Gómez has positively assessed this increase of almost a thousand citizens and relates it to the activity that the various neighborhood organizations and associations have carried out in promoting the different projects. "Whoever got involved, in the end had a better result," he said, when he announced that the proposal to build a light roof outside the Malpartit school has been the winning city project in the process.
