Blockchain Catalunya works to make the exchange of data on the network more secure

Blockchain Catalonia is a non-profit association created to promote blockchain technology and disseminate its potential and fields of application to Catalan society in general. The Association is run by an executive board of professionals and scholars of different backgrounds, blockchain technology experts who meet monthly to ensure the proper functioning of the association and to design and plan future activities.

Although Blockchain Catalonia will provide technical activities, the intention is to reach the non-techie public to introduce them to the blockchain and thus participate in the opportunities offered by the technology, which are broad and multisectoral.

The activities of the Blockchain Catalonia Association are organized into seven working groups:

  • Cities and territory
  • Governance of technology
  • Privacy and security
  • Legal and regulatory framework
  • Technological development
  • Financing of projects
  • Social transformation

The common goal of all working groups is to defend the development and promotion of this technology in Catalonia, with the creation of models and proposals for consensus, balance and the defense of decentralization.
