The importance of the amendment period in the Digital Maturity Index (IMD)
The AOC is working to promote the digital transformation of public administrations through collaboration, networking and knowledge sharing.
In this sense, if you feel innovative, if you like to collaborate in improving the administration and, in short, if you like to put your grain of sand to turn our administration into something more agile, open and logical, We invite you to take part in a new challenge within the Nextinit collective creativity platform, a platform that we use to generate innovative ideas to the challenges posed with the participation of users, whether public workers and / or citizens.
This is the new challenge:
"How could we go from sending 90% of paper notifications to mostly electronic submissions, saving you time and speeding up your processing time?"
Why this new challenge?
According to an analysis we have done, the current situation is that less than 10% of all notifications are sent by electronic means.
The new Administrative Procedure Law 39/1015 establishes that the citizen (natural person) can choose the channel but promotes that the processing is done by electronic channels between the Public Administrations and the citizenry. In relation to legal entities (companies, associations, etc.), it requires that all formalities, notifications and communications are made exclusively by electronic means.
Currently, the city councils of Catalonia alone spend more than 90 million euros each year on notifications and communications by post. We believe that we can generate a saving of 80% (ie 72 million euros) if the administrations effectively and intelligently apply the obligations provided for in Law 39/2015.
