The new version (2.6.2) of the signature applet of the AOC Consortium. Among the novelties of this new version are:

  • Improved Support for Firefox browser from Mac OS X.
  • New example of CAdES-BES generation detached with the applet in server mode.

The published version also corrects some detected issues.

In order to ensure compatibility with the Mac OS X system, it has been necessary to use new libraries that have had to be included. For this reason, this new version takes up more space than the previous ones.

Finally, and with the aim of lightening the development process, this will be the latest version that will guarantee compatibility with the already obsolete version of Java 1.5 (2004-2009).

 

Firefox 43

 

It has been found that version of Firefox 43 with Windows operating systems has problems loading and executing java applets. These issues have been reported to Mozilla, and are expected to be fixed in the next release.

Therefore it is recommended disable auto-update browser and use Firefox 42.
