The Generalitat can now send announcements and edicts to the local world throughEACAT

captureOn October 19, the Directorate General of Citizen Services of the Department of the Presidency organized a conference dedicated to presenting the legislative and functional developments in the management of the electronic board of the Administration of the Generalitat de Catalunya.

In addition to reviewing the latesteres legal, organizational and technical developments, it was confirmed that entities belonging to the public sector of the Generalitat are already ready to begin sending their announcements in electronic format to entities that are part of the Local Administration.

The existing channel in order to carry out this type of sending is the Inter-administrative submission of edicts available at EACAT, which offers the possibility of sending through the frontend ofEACAT  or make a web service submission from the management applications. The latter has been successfully implemented over the past year by the General Directorate of the Police of the Department of the Interior in order to send edictal notifications of the initiation agreements and proposals for resolution of sanctioning proceedings for infringement of the regulations for the protection of citizen security to City Councils throughout the country.

In this context, it is important to remember that, for entities using the e-TAULER service, the management of this type of submission is very simple and easy since, except for the initial validation of the edict received, the entire rest of its publication cycle is automatic: programming, public exhibition, withdrawal, storage, generation and return throughEACAT of the proceedings to the entity issuing the announcement.

In the event that the recipient entity of the submission is not an e-TAULER user, it must publish the announcement received through the submission available on its physical (cork) or electronic (non-e-TAULER) board. EACAT and, once the public exhibition period has ended and the advertisement has been removed, it must also be returned throughEACAT, the diligence to the entity issuing the shipment using a form available for this purpose.

It should be noted that in each and every one of the cases set out above, both the sending of the announcement and the return of the corresponding diligence must be carried out electronically and telematically throughEACAT, thus avoiding the expenses and time limits associated with sending paper documents through conventional mail.
