Calella City Council is committed to digital identification through idCAT Mòbil and makes it possible for Calella citizens to apply in person on the ground floor of the city council.
IdCAT Mòbil is the alternative user identification system to digital certificates and a convenient and secure alternative to digitally identifying yourself with Catalan public administrations. IdCAT Mobile is based on sending single-use passwords to your mobile phone at the time the person is processing online. This is a secure and free system that does not require the installation of any software or remember any password. In addition, it does not expire in time and allows you to identify and sign from any mobile, tablet or computer.
How to get it?
Anyone who wants to have the idCAT Mobile can register in less than a minute through the service website or, in the case of Calella, in person on the ground floor of the town hall. If you are a foreigner, you can only register in person. Please note that only those citizens over the age of 16 can register.
To register online, the citizen only needs to provide their date of birth, their DNI number and the bar code of the CatSalut Health Card. If the user already has the digital certificate (idCAT, DNIe…), all they have to do is add their mobile phone number.
Once registered, each time the user wants to check the status of their files or process them with idCAT Mobile, they will be sent a password via text message on their mobile phone (SMS) which will be valid for 30 minutes. .
With idCAT Móvil, the most common procedures can be carried out, such as applying for a building permit, a dining grant or entering a generic application.
