In the autumn of 2014 it was published in the Bulletin “Archives", from the General Subdirectorate of Archives and Museums of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, that the Administrative Archive of the Department of the Presidency had made the first entries in iARXIUAt the same time, it was set as a challenge to achieve an automatic transfer through the integration of SIGOV into iARXIU.
Barely a year has passed and the challenge is already a reality. The program to manage the files generated by the meetings of the Government and the Technical Council -SIGOV- and iARXIUFor the integration to be successful, the very active participation of the staff of the Government Office has been counted on, who value this improvement very positively.
The first transfer process, completely manual, to enter the documents generated by the Technical Council and Government Management into iARXIU It represented a step forward in the management of electronic documents, providing guarantees of medium and long-term preservation.
Total automation has meant a considerable reduction in the time spent on loading documents as well as giving more quality to the process, as the error rate has been drastically reduced.
We want to highlight the support of the AOC Consortium for its support in the process and to make it possible to end the year 2015 with the execution of a fully automated transfer.
