The AOC participates in the GovTech conference on local innovation at the service of citizens
During 2015, theUnique Digital Archive de Galicia, which will receive funds from Galician documentary heritage and promote a better administrative interconnection in the field of the Galicia-North Euroregion in Portugal.
Creating this file is one of the lines of work of the cross-border cooperation project Arpad, with 4,7 million euros, which aims to preserve and disseminate the joint documentary heritage, and to enable digital services within the framework of administrative relations in the Euroregion.
A series of interconnected registers will be organized on this Single Digital Archive that will allow citizens on both sides of the border to deliver documentation to any register, regardless of the destination administration.
The goal is to enable utilities online, such as the electronic invoice or the electronic tax platform for companies with cross-border commercial activity, thus speeding up trade in the Galicia-Northern Portugal Euroregion.
In this sense, theelectronic administrative file, as part of the Single Digital Archive, will be the cornerstone of e-government in Galicia, as it will eliminate the role of the Administration, and manage and preserve with all the guarantees of security and availability of digital documentation during the entire administrative life cycle.
With regard to the management of the documentary heritage, it will begin with the digitization of 50.000 documents from the archives of the Kingdom of Galicia, the provincial history of Orense and the municipality of Tui.
The creation of the Single Digital Archive was born as an initiative led by theGalician Agency for Technological Modernization (Amtega) in collaboration with the Vice-Presidency of the Xunta, and the ministries of Finance and Culture, together with the Intermunicipal Community of Minho-Lima, the Provincial Council of Pontevedra and the City Council of Tui.
