Technology and critical society: need for transparència disclosures

According to Francisco Longo, in his opinion article by El Periodico As of August 24, there are currently two phenomena that are putting great pressure on public administrations: technology and society critical of political powers.

On the one hand, technology drives them to produce and manage large data sets with a growing social interest. On the other hand, a society that is critical and angry with political behavior is increasingly distrustful. The confluence of both causes a growing demand for transparència and open data is a solution. Therefore, public administrations in all areas are committed to creating open data portals and offering the data that is generated to citizens for reuse, without "cooking" and in the open.
