This autumn, the Association of Archivists and Document Managers of Catalonia is organizing a course on the digital preservation of documents, scheduled in 2 editions (Tarragona and Barcelona) of 2 days each.
The aim of the course is to address the issue of the preservation of authentic electronic documents, within the framework of the electronic administration model defined in the Spanish framework by Law 11/2007, Law 29/2010 of the Parliament of Catalonia, and the decrees 3/2010 and 4/2010, of the National Interoperability and Security Scheme.
The course will analyze how the preservation tasks are conditioned by the fact that the documents to be preserved are in exclusively electronic support, in relation especially to the mechanisms that guarantee the availability, intelligibility, integrity and authenticity of the documents.
The theoretical session will be completed with a practical session, in which it will be exposed how the aspects discussed have been resolved in a real experience, with two services of the AOC Consortium: DESA'L and iARXIU.
