Girona City Council has created the project Girona Open Data (GOD), which aims to make available to individuals or companies, without restrictions on copyright, copyright, patents or other control mechanisms, public data existing in the computer systems of the City Council.
The data come from different areas or services and are grouped in the form of a catalog. The data is available in a variety of standardized formats, so it can be easily reused.
With the freedom of access to public information, Girona City Council wants to move towards open governance, based on the values of transparency, participation, service and efficiency.
The Girona Open Data project is an initiative that is part of the portal Open Government of Girona City Council. This portal aims to promote the transparency of the Administration, provide more information to citizens and promote their participation.
