More than half of digital certificate users use them in their dealings with the Administration

Mouse63,4% of Internet users in Spain interact with thee-Government, according toSurvey on Equipment and Use of Information and Communication Technologies in the Home prepared by the INE, which contains interesholy data on the use of the digital certificate for this type of action.

The number of households with an Internet connection in Spain has grown in recent years and this can be seen in the behavior of citizens on the Internet, who are increasingly taking advantage of new technologies for day-to-day management, such as procedures with public administrations. In this way, Catalunya, together with Madrid, the Balearic Islands and the Basque Country are among the communities with more network usage, above average, in the three indicators reported on the use of computers.

On the other hand, in relation to the cloud services, 30,9% of users used them to store files and 26% to share files.

In relation to the use ofElectronic Administration, as we have mentioned, 63,4% of people who have used the Internet in the last 12 months have contacted or interacted with public administrations or services via the Internet for particular reasons. Specifically, 60,0% of Internet users state that they have obtained information in the last year from the Administration's websites, 44,1% have downloaded official forms and 37,1% say they have sent completed forms.

In relation touse of digital certificates, Only 14,9% of people who have an DNIe and are Internet users have used it in their relations with the Administration. On the other hand, in relation to the rest of the certificates, although the group is much smaller, they use them with much more intensity. Thus, 58,2% have used them in their relations with public administrations, 21,2% with companies and 35% for the online signing of documents.
