The Mobile World Congress, which will be held in Barcelona from February 24 to 28, has been the chosen venue to present a pilot of authentication based on mobile phones using digital certificates to access the Health Folder and incorporating the digital certificate for citizens of the AOC Consortium, IdCATThe AOC Consortium has used in this pilot the mobile application developed by the Catalan company Safelayer, which is also the company that facilitates the digital certificate technology. IdCAT i TCATThe Mobile World Capital Barcelona Foundation (MWCB) stand will host the pilot test of access to the Personal Health Folder (CPS) through this application.
This pilot aims to validate the ease and security of access to Personal Health Folder information through mobile app authentication with digital certificates.
The IdCAT for mobile offers a simple user experience:
- Users can request a certificate IdCAT and configure it on your mobile devices
- The use of theIdCAT is protected by a PIN that users can change at any time
- It is currently available for iOS (AppStore) and will soon be available from Android devices
Personal Health Folder
The Personal Health Folder allows you to have your personal health information available and use it in a secure and confidential manner, as well as making it easier for you to carry out electronic procedures. Among the information and services that citizens can access through the folder are:
- The most relevant health data published by the health care providers and contained in the shared medical history in Catalonia
- The current electronic prescription medication plan
- Vaccines administered
- The diagnoses
- Clinical reports (emergencies, admissions, outpatient care)
- The results of the tests and the complementary examinations generated in the medical attention
- Carrying out procedures, in a personalized way, through theVirtual Procedures Office (OVT) of the Generalitat de Catalunya
