The magazine "Computer" published in October 2014 a special issue on Interoperability in e-Government, which is even more interestingeresholy -if possible- given the recent announcement in press release from the European Commission, which places interoperability as the central element for public sector modernization.
Interoperability links concepts such as backoffice in open government o Smart Cities, and highlights, due to its high complexity, the existence of important barrierseres which are extensively analyzed in the different selected articles of this special issue.
