ICT knowledge and experiences in the Vallès Oriental

Last Tuesday, April 8, the CSETC of Cardedeu organized the 1ª Conference on the transfer of ICT knowledge and experiences in the Vallès Oriental. The day was attended by the municipalities of Caldes de Montbui, Canovelles, Cardedeu, Franqueses, La Garriga, Granollers, Llinars, Lliçà d'Amunt, Lliçà d'Avall, Mollet, Parets, Santa Maria de Palautordera, Sant Celoni el Consell Comarcal Vallès Oriental, the Council of CIOs of Catalonia (cios.cat), the AOC Consortium, the Barcelona Provincial Council and Localret.

The session began with the participation of Toni Velamazán, president of www.cios.cat, who stressed the importance, sometimes unrecognized, of the role of Technology Managers in strategic decision making.

Then, Andreu Martínez (AOC Consortium), Miquel Matavacas (Localret) Jordi Pericàs (Barcelona Provincial Council) and Jaume Taulats (Granollers City Council) addressed Cloud Services. Dangers and opportunities, difficulty in defining the legal model, commitment to the cloud of proximity and success stories, are some of the cloud themes which were addressed during the day.
