- Electronic contracting
- Integration
Reminder: on May 15, the PSCP's backward compatibility web services will be discontinued
Member States will have 2 years to transpose the provisions of the new rules into their respective national laws.
After the deadline for transposition, all contracting entities in the Union will be required to use electronic means to announce the procurement process, to receive tenders from the bidding companies or to make the notifications of any public tender.
As has been shown in case studies documented by the European Commission, the use of electronic means in public procurement processes reduces the cost of procurement by between 5% and 20%, depending on the case. This means that, being conservative, the Spanish public administrations could save around 7.800 billion euros a year. Source: OBCP
