Analysis and evaluation of the European Union open data portal

EU FlagThe Open Data Government movement is linked to principles of transparència, participation and collaboration. In line with these principles, there is currently a proliferation of policies for opening up and releasing the data available to public administrations so that entities, companies and citizens can reuse them and create additional value.

In this context, an analysis of the Data Portal is presented European Union as a source of data and a single point of access to data prepared by institutions and other bodies of the European Union. This analysis has been carried out by Rosario Arquero and Gonzalo Marco, both of the Complutense University of Madrid.

The aim of this work is focused to address the study of its contents, the standards on which it is based, as well as the main data sets, formats and applications it offers. If you want to consult the study, access the following link: EU Open Data Portal
