In order to respond to the Law on Public Sector Contracts, which, among other things, requires the payment of invoices within 30 days, Bilbao City Council has decided that all invoices issued in its name must be in electronic format. The Basque City Council is aware that the use of electronic invoicing is not very widespread in the companies and professionals with whom it deals and to facilitate the issuance of invoices has put into operation the Portal of the Electronic Invoice of the City council of Bilbao.
To resolve doubts, the city of Bilbao makes available to contractors who need it a point of contact in person for the registration of electronic invoices through the Accounting Department of the City Council (Edificio Aznar, Plaza Venezuela, 2-2ª Plant) and an email address contabilidad@ayto.bilbao.net.
