The Vice-President of the Government, Joana Ortega, took part in an event at ESADE where she defined what the new Administration of Catalonia should be like: transparent, efficient, professional, qualified and committed. During her speech, the Vice-President announced her intention to set up a working group in December this year to put the finishing touches on all this reform of the Administration.
These words of Joana Ortega are included in the speech she gave during the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the master's degree in Public Management (EMPA), the 20th anniversary of the Institute of Governance and Public Management (IGDP) and the 30th anniversary of the Program of Public Management at ESADE.
"We are talking about building an administration more transparent, which provides its citizens with access to all public information, and therefore facilitates the control and supervision of their activities, and accountability. From an administration more efficient to ensure the optimal use of public resources. An administration more professional, in which it is guaranteed that public managers have the necessary professional training, and that they will be properly supervised. And, finally, an administration with more and greater capacities, smarter, more prepared to face the new challenges of the globalized societies, very interrelated and with important technological and environingingmental challenges ”, declared Ortega.
