Appointed the director of the Administrative Body of Contractual Resources of Catalonia

On May 31, 2012, the appointment of Mr. Juan Antonio Gallo Sallent as the new director of the organization.
The Administrative Body for Contractual Resources of Catalonia is a body specialized in resolving certain resources and issues in matters of public procurement, with full functional independence.
It was created to exercise its functions in the field of the administration of the Generalitat de Catalunya, of the entities and bodies that form part of its public sector that are considered contracting authorities, of the local administrations integrated in its territory and also of the entities and organisms of the local administration that have the consideration of adjudicating powers. However, municipalities with more than 500.000 inhabitants will be able to create their own body.
The Parliament of Catalonia and the other institutions and entities of the Generalitat de Catalunya provided for in the Statute of Autonomy of Catalonia may attribute the power to resolve appeals and claims to the Administrative Body for Contractual Appeals of Catalonia.
