More than 1,1 million exchanges of data and e-documents in May

The month of May has meant a new historical record in the exchange of data and electronic documents between administrations. Specifically, 1.145.993 have been exchanged, which means that, accumulating the first five months of 2012, the global figure has climbed above 3.8 million. This data is relevant given that throughout 2011 the final number of data exchanged barely exceeded the figure of 4 million. Taking into account that in 2010 it reached 1.6 million, we can clearly see the almost exponential evolution of this service which, in many cases, has a direct reflection in the improvement of the service of the administrations to the citizens, since it can representar that avoids the provision of paper documentation, with the clear benefits that arise in terms of time, convenience and money.

The increase in this month of May was mainly due to the incorporation of queries into the road e-mail address, as well as the high consumption of other services such as residence and cohabitation data, tax data or the registration of vehicles.
