The Terrassa City Council has implemented theeTAULER, the AOC Consortium service that allows the publication and management of electronic edicts via the Internet and which is integrated into the City Council's Electronic Office. With this tool, the City Council wants to facilitate citizens' research and access to information from any computer with an Internet connection.
The new electronic board, theeTAULER, allows access to information in a practical and fast way and works 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. In addition, a greater number of announcements and edicts can be published simultaneously than with the physical system, in which the available space representais a limitation. To facilitate the location of certain information, the panel incorporates a search system by subject and by publication date.
In addition to the edicts and announcements, Terrassa City Council will use its electronic bulletin board to publish exhibitions and public information, municipal regulations, public participation processes, among other information of interest to the citizen.
The eTAULER It can be consulted at all municipal facilities that have a citizen service. In this way, citizens who do not have an Internet connection at home can go to the facility that is closest to them.
The measure also brings benefits to the City Council: firstly, the savings involved in eliminating the associated costs of publication: paper, ink, postal mail and administrative management. On the other hand, the processes of certified publication, due diligence, calculation of exhibition deadlines and withdrawal of edicts and announcements are now automatic, thus gaining in efficiency.
