City councils, required to electronically notify traffic fines

A judgment of the Superior Court of Justice of Madrid (núm. 498/2011, of June 7, 2011) obliges the Tax Agency to notify citizens electronically when they have chosen this means as a preferred means of communication with the administration.

This sentence especially affects the city councils when notifying traffic sanctions given that it ratifies the obligation of the local administration to notify these sanctions electronically to those citizens who have previously registered with the e-mail address (AEV), limiting, for these cases, any other notification option.
