The AOC consolidates its chatbots with AI: more people served, high level of quality and 96% savings
Each month, 50.000 citizens make use of these devices.
At the end of 2009, the ICT area of the Catalan Employment Service (SOC) began deploying 300 Self-Service Points (PAS) in all offices across Catalonia and in 40 town halls. The aim of this deployment was to reduce face-to-face processing. At the moment, 60 more points are being installed in another 60 local bodies.
For the procedures and services that required it, the authentication system in the PAS was the user plus the password (since 2008, the SOC has delivered the user and password in person to 3.000.000 citizens). Since the end of October, the possibility of accessing any option in the Points menu with a digital certificate such as the CAT id or the DNIe has been enabled.
The Self-Service Point allows you to renew your application (stamp unemployment), request and issue reports and certificates, consult personal data or make administrative changes for the unemployed person. You can also check the training courses (more than 12.000) or the available job offers (about 4.500 job vacancies).
50.000 citizens use them monthly and this has allowed the Service to free human capital from tasks with no added value either for the citizen, the civil servant or the SOC.
