Signing of an agreement with the Castellar del Vallès City Council to launch the telematic issuance of flyers for the population register

Castellar del Vallès City Council and the Open Administration Consortium of Catalonia (AOC) signed a collaboration agreement in Castellar del Vallès on Tuesday, July 11, through which citizens who change their residence will be able to communicate the new information electronically. domicile in the administrations through the Citizen Attention Service, as well as the telematic consultation of flyers of the municipal register of inhabitants at the request of a public administration.

They signed the agreement, Ilma Sra. Montse Gatell i Pérez, Mayor President of Castellar del Vallès City Council, assisted by Mr. Juli Boadella, general secretary of the corporation and the Hon. Sr. Xavier Sabaté i Ibarz, Minister of Government and Public Administrations and President of the AOC Consortium.

The aim of the project of telematic issuance of leaflets of the municipal register of inhabitants is to avoid that the citizen has to present certificates or leaflets of the municipal register of inhabitants in paper in any public or private organism, and, to obtain it, It is proposed to offer an inter-administrative collaboration service that facilitates the exchange of information from citizens regarding their place of residence necessary for carrying out various procedures and procedures.

This project is aimed at all the town councils and supramunicipal administrations of Catalonia that manage databases of the municipal register of inhabitants directly.

It currently has almost 65% of the population of Catalonia connected by 519 municipalities. To date, more than 13.000 flyers and 15.158 inquiries have been generated due to a change of address.

The subsidies granted by the AOC to the City Council of Castellar del Vallès will improve the internal management and the provision of services of attention to the citizenship, by means of the use of the technologies of the information and the communication.

Thanks to these grants, different projects have been promoted. Among these, we can highlight the Ajuntanet project, which has a grant of 42.000 euros, and which will involve the development of a digitized catalog of municipal services and procedures. Other projects will also be carried out, such as the development of a file monitoring tool, the Spatial Data Infrastructures of Catalonia project, which should make it possible to promote the use and application of geospatial information, or the project. Geomobility, which aims to improve the management of the territory by incorporating mobile technologies into local management through the Municipal Geographic Information System (SIGM). As part of the 2005 call, the City Council has received grants from the AOC for a total value of 76.500 euros.
