Remarkable reception by the Catalan local world of the call for grants from the AOC Consortium

Last September, the Consorci Administració Oberta Electrònica de Catalunya, an entity set up by the Generalitat de Catalunya and Localret, opened and made public a call for grants to local bodies in Catalonia to improve internal management and the provision of services to citizens, through the use of information and communication technologies.

This call had a double objective, on the one hand the participation of local bodies in the projects promoted by the Consortium and on the other, the granting of grants for the development of projects promoted directly by local bodies and specified in the regulatory bases of the call. .

Thus, the number of grant applications made in the pre-established period 'ended on October 27 this year- amounts to 263, in terms of the development of projects promoted directly by local bodies and in terms of projects of the AOC Consortium, a total of 689 applications have been made.

Of the 263 grant applications for the development of local projects, 227 are related to improving the provision of services to citizens and streamlining administrative procedures, 64 to adapting local administrations' information systems to the LOPD, 6 to developing new services on the platform eaCat, 10 to the adaptation of municipal IT applications to the requirements of the AOC Consortium initiatives to promote electronic signatures and 56 have been allocated to innovative projects.

Of the 689 grant applications for projects promoted by the Consortium, 229 are for joining the Municipal Telematic Processing Module project, e-TRAM; 40 for the Telematic Dispatch of Registration Forms project; from the IDEC Local project, 128 in the local entity membership modality and 47 in the integration modality; 159 for the Metacercador project, 66 for the idCAT and 20 for the establishment of CATCert collaborating registration entities.
