The Federation of Municipalities of Catalonia approved, among others, a motion in which, given the importance of the municipalities as the engine of e-government, it asked the Generalitat, in the coming years, to maintain its contributions to the AOC Consortium for the development of solutions and the provision of e-government services for all Catalan institutions and for the subsidy programs for the activities carried out by local entities in this area.
In addition, he advocated the promotion of the adherence of local bodies to the 'technical and legal instruments developed by the AOC Consortium to make possible the interoperability of information systems of local governments with other public administrations, while respecting the legislation of protection of personal data '.
Finally, the approved motion considered that, as it is of the utmost interest to have the online information of all the municipal registers of inhabitants to address processes of administrative improvement that save procedures to the citizens, the Catalan city councils must be urged to take carry out the necessary actions to participate in the projects developed for this purpose by the AOC Consortium.
