As of today, Monday 13 February, it is now available on the extranet of the Catalan administrations, theeaCat (www.eacat.net), the registration form for the .cat domain.
As you may already know, the AOC Consortium, through the signing of an agreement with the Pun Foundation,tCat, is offered as a domain distributor to Catalan administrations (local entities and the Generalitat). In the case of local entities, the Consortium will subsidize the price of domain registration for two years, but only in the case of the domain related to the toponym of the local entity. It should be added that the secure device certificate (CDS) associated with this domain will also be subsidized, which the Catalan Certification Agency will provide and which has a duration of four years.
The Consortium now places, and through theeaCat, an application form is available to the town councils, county councils and provincial councils of Catalonia that you will find in the subsidies tab and that will consist of two different parts: one intended for the application for the domain related to the toponym, and the other, intended for the application for other domains related to the local entity, which can be as many as the requesting local entity wishes, although these will be at its expense.
In order to fill in this application form correctly, you must pay special attention to the online help you will find.
If you have any questions, you can contact the AOC Consortium's Customer Service (SAU) via telephone or e-mail.
