The Baix Penedès County Council joins different projects of the AOC Consortium

Last Wednesday, June 21, and within the framework of the AOC days jointly organized by the AOC Consortium and the County Council, two collaboration agreements were signed with the Baix Penedès County Council. One of them refers to the implementation of the municipal telematic processing module e-TRAM, one of the projects of the Open Administration Consortium of Catalonia and the other agreement, with the Catalan Certification Agency, an autonomous body that depends on the AOC Consortium, will allow the Baix Penedès County Council to become a collaborating registration entity idCATThat is, it will be able to validate the digital identity of citizens.

The e-TRAM membership agreement was signed by Mr. Benet Jané i Palau, president of the Baix Penedès County Council and by Mr. Joan A. Olivares i Obis, Managing Director of the AOC Consortium.

The e-TRAM is the municipal management module for Internet applications and procedures integrated into the AOC Consortium platform. The access to this service is through the website of the city council that has joined the e-TRAM project.

The agreement for the provision of digital certification services idCAT it was signed by Mr. Benet Jané i Palau, president of the Baix Penedès Regional Council and Mr. Jordi Masias, managing director of the Catalan Certification Agency.

Digital identification allows citizens to carry out telematic procedures with the public administration in a secure manner, guaranteeing the identity of the issuer and the integrity of the information.idCAT is based on a recognized digital certificate, which can be obtained through the web www.idcat.net and which is stored on the citizen's computer. With this, procedures can be carried out with the city council and public administrations in general, both in Catalonia and in the general state administration, such as instances, guaranteeing the same legal validity as in the face-to-face or paper procedure.

These agreements have been signed within the framework of the AOC Days, which consist of explanatory sessions, which are made on an itinerant basis throughout Catalonia where all the projects and services offered by the AOC Consortium from the perspective of collaboration and exchange of information between administrations.
