Continuous improvement of the Digital Maturity Index: how do we move forward?
La VII edition of the Open Administration Awards The town councils and county councils awarded annually by the AOC have been recognized as leading bodies in digital transformation in the Parets del Vallès, Llinars del Vallès and Salou Town Councils. This is the second year in a row that Llinars is among the top three in the absolute category, regardless of the population to which each entity belongs.
The event was attended by the Secretary of Digital Policies, David Ferrer, the president of Localret, Jaume Oliveras, the mayor of Llinars del Vallès, Martí Pujol and the director of the AOC, Astrid Desset, who explained what the Digital Maturity Index is, the methodology used to score bodies.
The aim of the Open Administration Awards is to assess and recognize the implementation and use of e-government services and their consequent digital transformation in their relationship with the public and in their internal management and open government.
This year 81 Catalan local bodies have been awarded in seven categories according to the number of inhabitants of the bodies and their nature:

Know the degree of digital maturity of your administration
These recognitions are given on the basis of theDigital Maturity Index carried out by the AOC and determined on the basis of the analysis of objective indicators, the data on the use of AOC services and the analysis of the websites of 947 town councils and 42 county councils.
In this way, local administrations have at their disposal rigorous information to know their state of affairs, their strengths and areas for improvement. Comparisons can also be made with other similar administrations or with those leading the digital transformation.
The Digital Maturity Index is a unique initiative, both at national and European level, that allows us to rigorously assess the degree of maturity of the digital transformation of a public entity.
