As usual during the first quarter of each year from the research group ComSET (Sound Communication, Strategic and Transparència) resulting from the merger of Journalism and Communication Laboratory for Plural Citizenship i Public radio, will begin work on evaluating good practices in the field of transparència communication on local administration websites following the methodology "Infoparticipa".
Specifically and for this new edition, already the tenth in Catalonia, the Infoparticipa evaluations will be carried out from the February 1 to March 21, 2022, keeping the same 52 indicators. You can consult it detailed guide to the criteria.
News "Infoparticipa" regarding the use of the portal of transparència from the AOC – XGT
The guide to evaluating “Infoparticipa” 2021-2022 specifically includes two recommendations:eressaints by Catalan town councils in order to improve their transparència communication, while minimizing the impact of duplication of information between web portals and transparència. Specifically:
- Recommendation for using the advanced political organization configuration module
The Infoparticipa guide (in its final note) indicates that through the advanced political organization configuration module offered by the AOC-XGT portal, the “Infoparticipa” indicators associated with “transparència of the corporation" ranging from 1 to 14.
Therefore, it includes all the information associated with elected officials, political composition, political groups, portfolios, governing bodies, remuneration, etc.
However, it should be noted that the "Infoparticipa" team emphasizes the need for the use of the module to be complete, with up-to-date and correctly completed data. To this end, below are different resources that include examples of good practice, and especially the configuration manual for this module:
It is important to mention that the “Infoparticipa” team took part in the work of defining this module, and at the beginning of 2022 more than a hundred Catalan councils have already made progress in its implementation and now they already have of a better navigability, usability and reuse of the public information of the set of indicated indicators.
During the first half of this 2022, from the AOC we will work to be able to offer this module also to the county councils and to the provincial councils, because at the moment it is only available for town councils.
- Recommendation for the use of the economic management indicators module
The “Infoparticipa” guide also indicates the promotion of the activation of the economic management indicators module. The module makes it easier to visualize in an agile, understandable, comprehensible way economic data of the entity, providing at the same time, comparative information with the territory (with respect to the county, provincial and whole of Catalonia) and the evolution of the last 5 years.
